Weekday Respite and Recreation Program

(Program)

Provides a drop-in center for short-term respite services for families with an intellectually or developmentally disabled member. Offers temporary relief when the family faces an emergency, has formal business, or needs time for leisure or activities such as shopping, doctor appointments, or meetings. Offers evening and weekend recreational activities.

Eligibility: Individuals who are developmentally disabled and reside within Jefferson County

Application Process: Referral/enrollment through a care coordination organization

Required Documentation: Proof of OPWDD eligibility, and HCBS Waiver approval

Fees: Medicaid
