Lead Poisoning Prevention Program

(Program)

Provides lead poisoning prevention services including identification of at-risk children and high-risk housing. Works to educate the community about lead poisoning prevention, provides in-home lead paint inspections, and coordinates blood lead testing access for children under 18 years of age.

Eligibility: The home of a child with an elevated test result will be inspected free of charge; free in home inspections are also available by request to Onondaga County families with a child under 6 years or a pregnant woman in the home, additional eligibility criteria for age of housing, household composition and risk to occupants may apply
