Senior Nutrition Services

(Program)

Provides nutritious meals at over close to 37 Senior Onondaga County Dining Sites. Lunches are provided by PEACE Inc, Salvation Army, and the Jewish Community Center.

Distributes Farmers Market coupon booklets to income eligible seniors ages 60 years and older, redeemable July - November for New York State grown fruits and vegetables that are distributed at participating community locations.

Offers one-on-one counseling with a registered dietitian to eligible seniors and offers health promotion and nutrition education.

Eligibility: Onondaga County residents ages 60 years and older

Application Process: Senior Dining: Reservations are required except for at the Salvation Army Senior Adult Center; call PEACE Inc at 315-470-3331 or Jewish Community Center at 315-445-2360 Senior Farmers' Market Nutrition Program (SFMNP): Vouchers are available in July, first come, first served basis; call for formation on availabilty and pickup location.
