Saint Lawrence County Child Support Unit


Assists Saint Lawrence County residents in locating absent parents, establishing legal fatherhood for children, preparing and filing appropriate support petitions, obtaining support orders from court, collecting, monitoring, and disbursing child support payments from the absent parent, and enforcing unpaid child support by administrative processes and court action.

Eligibility: Saint Lawrence County residents who are the parent, relative, or legal guardian of a dependent child, legal representative with power of attorney, agency or institution responsible for the child, non-legally responsible relatives when the child has been abandoned or is in their custody and there is an abset responsible parent

Application Process: Appointment required; call for information
